Walker Names Campaign Manager
DENVER, NC – Marc Walker, a career law enforcement veteran with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, has named James Martin of Denver as his Campaign Manager as he seeks the office of Sheriff of Lincoln County.
“I am thrilled to announce that James has agreed to serve as my campaign manager. He brings such a great level of professionalism to our team that cannot be matched,” Walker said.
“James is very active in our community and brings with him the business and community experience that our campaign needs and a fresh outlook on local politics. This is our first involvement in politics and that is exactly what I wanted. A fresh set of eyes, ears and understanding of what we need as we work to transform our Sheriff’s office and bring back the public trust,” Walker continued.
Martin and his wife Emilee live in Denver with their two children, Jack and Kaylee. He currently serves as the vice-chairman of the East Lincoln Fire Department and as a board member for Sally’s Y.
“I am excited to work with Marc on his campaign. I have got to know Marc through our work together on the board of the East Lincoln Fire Department and that is why I know he is the right person to be our next Sheriff. He is the most qualified to lead our professional law enforcement officers and restore the reputation of that department,” Martin said.
Martin, a cum laude graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, is a licensed general contractor.
As the designated campaign manager, Martin will oversee and manage all aspects of the Walker for Sheriff Campaign including overall message, voter outreach, fundraising and strategy.
